Students who sign up will be given the chance to meet employers, complete team building exercises, carry out mock interviews and experience tours of workplaces.
The Work-wise Foundation’s Summer Academy has been running for almost 10 years across the South Yorkshire region, giving gives students the opportunity to gain and improve upon key skills and personal attributes that employers are looking for – readying them for the world of work.
John Barber, CEO at The Work-wise Foundation, says: “We’re really lucky to be working with D2N2 to offer this exciting opportunity. The Visitor Economy sector has taken a real hit during the pandemic, and we want to show youngsters that it is an amazing sector to work in with a wealth of opportunity in the High Peak.”
