Get up to Speed with Employability
A Full day event designed for a whole school or targeted Year Groups modelled on a “Careers Compass” that shows the children the different routes they could take. Introducing the employability skills and attitudes they will need, in an age appropriate way.
Careers Compass: Introduction to Careers
The day consists of a carousel of short interactive activities for up to 10 pupils per session delivered by a range of different employers/specialists. Each session focuses on a different employment sector (e.g. Retail, Engineering, Technology, Professional Services, Public Services, Leisure). All activities have follow-up opportunities that can be integrated into the curriculum, showing the relevance of learning to the world of work.
GULLYfest is a collaborative project with Gulliver’s Kingdom which encourages primary aged children to learn and use Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) skills to design and build aspects of theme parks. It also introduces them to the huge variety of roles involved in running a theme park – from customer service, to maintenance and ride operators!
