Get up to Speed with Employability

Employability Academy

Our Employability Academy programme is aimed at young people looking to broaden their understanding of the world of work that awaits them after education. Each programme is four days long held during the summer holiday allowing attendees to enhance their knowledge by getting practical experience working on a project supported by local employers.

This is also available to be delivered virtually.

Work-Wise Employability Academy

Each event is designed on a bespoke basis for every group but typically follows the following programme:

  • Day 2: A day in Industry – A tour of a local company with practical activities and employers introducing different aspects of how businesses operate
  • Day 3: Make, Create & Innovate – A hands-on team challenge to incorporate the skills discovered on days 1 and 2, including team building and leadership challenges delivered by the Army
