The new government Kickstart scheme has been launched with incentives for employers to create thousands of high-quality paid work experience/job opportunities for young people (aged 16-24). Funding available for each job will cover the relevant National Minimum Wage for 25 hours a week, plus the associated employer National Insurance contributions and employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions for 6 months. There will also be funding available of up to £1,500 to support young people to develop new skills and to help them move into sustained employment after they have completed their Kickstart funded job. Support and training will be delivered through The Work-wise Foundation.
The Work-wise Foundation are offering management, support and administration as part of their ongoing Apprentice Support Scheme. Work-wise will co-ordinate and facilitate a bid for 30 and above places, helping smaller businesses access this scheme. The Work-wise Foundation will:
