Last week, The Work-wise Foundation received the news that they are now fully approved as a Gateway for the Government Kickstart Scheme.
The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to create new job placements for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit who are at risk of long term unemployment.
Employers of all sizes can apply for funding which covers:
A Kickstart gateway is an organisation that has shown interest in representing employers who want to apply for 29 or less job placements.
This allows us to help smaller businesses within our region access this fantastic opportunity to increase their workforce. Not only this, but we are also able to use
our expertise of working closely with young people to ensure that these placements run smoothly and both the employer and employee get the best experience possible from the scheme.
As part of our first cohort we have over 50 jobs available in a variety of sectors – from a Trainee Cutler/Coppersmith to Office Administrator posts.
As a Gateway for the Kickstart Scheme, The Work-wise Foundation are offering management, support and administration as part of their ongoing Apprentice Support Scheme:
